I work in Sales and I've tried endless demo's of these Sales CRM software, however none of them are really any good for what I want and they're all too complicated.
Basically all I want is something where I can input a contact & their details (all my own fields) then simply be able to track each customer via each interaction we have. I have 500+ customers and all buy at different part of the year, so far I havn't seen anything which does this. Been using OneNote as a online Diary type system so far, but sometimes contacts are forgotten.

Pros: It has a very clean looking interface.
It is tightly integrated for what it does.
It is tightly integrated for what it does.
Mortgage Loan Management Software
Cons: It is very rigid and not flexible.
It's interface, while clean, is too spread-out resulting in users having to scroll through long screens to find information or complete tasks.
Users have to jump back and forth through many screens to accomplish most tasks. As a result, what should be simple tasks end up taking much longer to complete than should be necessary.
Taxes did not, and despite 2 years of effort still do not, work correctly. And this is in Canada where commodity taxation is much simpler compared to the USA.
The accounting templates are too inflexible.
The product is expensive for the quality delivered. OTI will send out resources to assist (you cannot use in-house programmers), but, they cost a lot. Support is from Bangalore India (9 hours time difference) which makes troubleshooting challenging.
The program could not calculate a correct AR Aging. The Customer Service screen details did not agree to the underlying GL. Customer statements are buried deep within the program and were incorrect.
Reports of any sort are hard to find and slow to generate.
It is not a one-solution as the program does not include a banking module, an accounts payable module (to produce cheques) or a complete GL that can be used for financial reporting. You will have to purchase a separate GL/AP to handle these tasks and then pay OTI to link into the program.
OTI does not use standard accounting terminology. For example, 'Accounts Receivable does not include taxes' in their system.

Overall: Overall, we would have been far better off programming in-house from scratch.
The system is good only if your leasing business is very cookie-cutter, you do not need efficient staff processing, and do not mind paying a lot for any changes.
Licensing for users is also very expensive.
There are better options.

- Avec le guide d'utilisation (malheureusement seulement en anglais) ce petit bijou est vraiment très très facile à mettre en place et à utiliser. En 10 minutes j'ai décaissé mon premier crédit de test!
- Hello there. I'm Pavel, the CTO of OpenCBS. I'm one of the prolific contributors to the project ). This review is mostly not about the end product, but more about the process and the team. We've a got an amazing team of smart and young people who love the project and do care about it. They like the open source aspect and the technologies we use. We've got quite an established and smooth development process. Along the way we have picked up a number of best practices like a version control system, peer code review, continuous integration, unit and acceptance testing. We believe that open source goes hand in hand with microfinance and do our best day in day out to deliver a good product.
